Let’s Play Chess

Block Coding with Alex: Each week, we’ll explore fun lessons using block coding and Python. Only 12 computers with Minecraft Education are available for use, so please bring your own laptop if you have the full version of Minecraft Education Edition installed.

Boot Camp 1: Computers and Windows Basics
Learn the basics of using Windows 11 including parts of the computer, using the mouse, saving to a USB Flash drive, and basic computer maintenance. Also, what to look for when buying a new computer.

Boot Camp 2: Internet Surfing and Safety
Learn the basics of using the internet including web sites and browsers, instruction on what is and how to use a search engine, browser addons, Scams, adblockers, and keeping yourself safe on the internet.
